Chef Jennifer Calder

  • Jennifer’s love for cooking blossomed during childhood, as she watched her grandmother prepare dinner each night. Influenced by her grandmother's Creole heritage, she was introduced to a myriad of complex flavors and spices at a young age. Despite pursuing traditional academia, her passion for food, cooking, and entertaining remained insatiable. After graduating college, she ventured into the culinary field and opened a food truck named Burnt Ends BBQ Food Truck, which operated throughout the Bay Area for five years, specializing in BBQ and Southern cuisines. In 2018, the truck received recognition in the San Francisco Chronicle under "Best BBQ in the Bay".

In 2019, she sold the food truck and embarked on a new endeavor, starting a vegan taco pop-up. During this period, she also transitioned into becoming a private chef, curating unique dining experiences for families and professionals around the Bay. Well-versed in various cuisines, she delights in using fresh, local ingredients to craft well-balanced, delicious meals.
