Private Yacht Charters on San Francisco Bay
Yaachtly runs private luxury yacht charters on San Francisco Bay, sailing from our home port in Alameda. Every charter is a private booking — your group only — aboard a captained vessel, from a relaxed two-hour Bay cruise past the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz, and the San Francisco skyline to a full evening of onboard fine dining by a private chef. Boats range from intimate six-guest motor yachts to event yachts hosting up to 120 guests, plus a 92-ft Westport superyacht for parties of 12, so the same team can host an anniversary for two or a corporate reception for a hundred.
Private whole-boat charters start at $675 per hour for an intimate six-guest cruise and run to $2,300 per hour for an event yacht, up to $3,400 per hour for the 92-ft Westport superyacht. Chef-prepared dining is priced per guest, from $190. Occasion, décor, and catering packages are quoted per event. Popular occasions include corporate events, weddings and proposals, milestone birthdays, and memorial charters. Tell us your date, group size, and what you're marking, and we'll match you to the right vessel and chef.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a yacht charter and a yacht rental?
Practically, nothing — both mean the whole boat is yours. "Charter" typically includes the professional captain and crew, which every Yaachtly booking does. You'll never pilot the boat or share it with strangers.
How do I choose the right yacht for my group?
Match the guest count: up to 6 for intimate cruises, up to 12 on our motor yachts and superyacht, and 110–120 on the event yachts. From there, pick by occasion — dining, cruising, or a full event.
What comes standard on every Yaachtly charter?
A licensed captain, professional crew, and the entire yacht exclusively for your group. Fuel and standard operation are in the rate. Catering, bar packages, and décor are added per event, so you pay only for what your occasion needs.
What are the minimum charter durations?
Two hours for chef dinners and small-yacht cruises; three hours for event yacht and superyacht charters. Most groups find the minimums generous — the Bay has a way of making time disappear.
What will we see on a San Francisco Bay charter?
The classics: the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz, the city skyline from the water, and Angel Island — with sunset runs timed to golden hour. Your captain shapes the route around your occasion and the day's conditions.
What occasions do people charter yachts for?
Birthdays, anniversaries, proposals, corporate events and client hosting, weddings and receptions, memorial ash scatterings, holiday parties, and no-occasion-at-all sunset cruises. If it matters to you, there's a yacht that fits it.
Why book with Yaachtly instead of directly with a boat owner?
One place to compare the Bay's private fleet by size, price, and occasion — with instant online booking, transparent per-vessel rates, professional crews, and a chef-dining program no single boat offers. You choose the experience; we handle the rest.
